Current Connection #2

http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/36539/floridas+giant+eyeball+mystery+solved+it+belonged+to+a+swordfish/

If you were walking along "Pompano Beach" and seen a huge eyeball, what would you do? If I seen a huge eyeball the size of a softball, not only would I freak out, I don't know what I would do. What would other people around do?
There was a giant eyeball found in Florida last Wednesday. It washed up on the shore of Pompano Beach. The huge eyeball may belong to a Swordfish. The eyeball is about the size of a softball and was found by a fisherman on Pompano Beach. They have discovered that the eyeball does belong to a swordfish.

Current Connection

Mother cited when her kids where left home alone. This article is in the newspaper.

The connection I am making wtih this article is people not taking care of their own children. Which is pathetic becasue if you can't take care of your own children DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!

A couple days ago, two children got off a school bus to their home, which no parents were home. The children refused to get back on the bus, so the bus driver called the police. The Batesville School Resource Officer, Cord Davidson ovserved the house, it was very dirty, it stunk of trash and was full of flies. In a different room by a bed, was a loaded 12 gauge shotgun. Then in an ashtray there were stems, burned paper, and a couple seeds from Marjuana. The mother came home with a friend and a four year old girl who was not in a car seat. The family was put under a protective services case, and the mother was cited for endangering the welfare of a minor, and the friend was cited for driving a vehicle with a child passenger and no car seat. Do you wonder what the parents think? What if they were home when the children got off the bus? What do you think the cop thinks of the family now? Do they really feel bad for those kids? If I was a mother right now my house would NEVER smell like trash, WOULDN’T have flies in my house, WOULDN’T have a shotgun in my house with babies in the house too. WOULDN’T have any type of drugs in my house. And I would make sure that I am home when my children got home from school. I don’t understand how someone can let a six year old and a seven year old live in that type of enviornment. I’m just glad DHS is involved. Now people will hopefully understand; if you cant even take care of yourself, DO NOT HAVE KIDS!

Current Connection

                                                             Medical Marijuana

The connection I am making with Medical Marijuana is that I think it's a very good thing for people with severe pain, and other major problems.  Even though it is still illegal in most countries, most of the people that I know smoke it anyways. Marijuana smoke contains thousands of organic and inorganic compounds. That's why most people smoke Marijuana instead of "posh" because posh is fake Marijuana with chemicals in it. Marijuana is organic because it grows. Marijuana smoke contains substances that can damage DNA and increase risk of cancer. Just like tobacco smoke. I honestly think that nobody should just smoke it to get high, unless they do have medical problems, because the risk of cancer. The cancer causing chemicals in Marijuana smoke have been found in amounts of 50% higher than those in tobacco smoke.
Most of my friends smoke Marijuana and the reason I always drive for them is because Marijuana usage has been proven to affect the ability to drive safely. The drivers who consume Marijuana within 3 hours of driving are twice likely to cause a crash than those who are not under the influence of Marijuana.
I think the Doctors are giving people Medical Marijuana for stupid reasons. Like HIV/AIDS? That's not a major medical issue. People with arthritis, scoliosis or other major problems should get Medical Marijuana. The doctors are giving people Medical Marijuana for nausea, diarrhea, vomitting and other stupid reasons like that. I'm not so sure they should even legalize this crap.
